A good climb up starts with a good starting position (the cat hang). Its amazing to me how often I see people with a bad starting position for climb ups. Pay attention to a few details in this video. 1. Straight arms. You waste energy and lose power by trying to hang and climb from bent arms. 2. Foot stagger. Whichever foot you like to wall run / wall pass with should be the highest one. Staggering the feet sets you up for the proper climb up footwork. 3. Grip. Bend all your fingers at the first knuckle so that you can get your entire fingers and thumb over the top of the wall. When you hang by your fingertips, you have a weaker grip and you will lose some of the force being produced by your arms and back during the climb up. 4. Full body tension. Tense, strong muscles dont slip on the wall. Relaxed, weak ones do. 5. Feet. The feet and legs must be pushing INTO the wall. If they push down at all, you will be losing power and/or slipping. Dont neglect the basics. You might think you are interemediate/advanced but little things like this might suggest otherwise. youtu.be/U4vJs5OxExE
