A list of some christian scientists throughout the ages. Christian because I have not verified it [just gave it a quick scan] and because the term christian is very broad. Nonetheless, I picked 3 which were interesting - and Im sure you remember Lennox. Lennox debated Dawkins, the other worked with Hawking, and the last one has to with the human genome project. The list was presented when an atheist daringly requested Name me one major Christian scientist. There are many lists; I know. And feel free to add some places for others to reference. John Lennox: Mathematician, philosopher of science and pastoral adviser. His works include the mathematical The Theory of Infinite Soluble Groups and the religion-oriented Gods Undertaker – Has Science buried God? He has also debated religion with Richard Dawkins. He teaches at Oxford, so an old map of it is pictured. Don Page (born ????): Canadian theoretical physicist and practicing Evangelical Christian, Dr. Page is known for having published several journal articles with Stephen Hawking. Francis Collins (born 1950): He is the current director of the National Institutes of Health and former director of the US National Human Genome Research Institute. He has also written on religious matters in articles and in Faith and the Human Genome he states the importance to him of the literal and historical Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, which is the cornerstone of what I believe. He wrote the book The Language of God: A Scientist Presents Evidence for Belief. In the next post Ill put up an article where this list of scientists appeared in the comments section together with the comment, Yes, not all of them are major scientists, but just picking from the end of the list, there are theoretical physicists who co-published with Stephen Hawking, several living, respected psychologists, neuroscientists, and astronomers.
