A little bit frustrated. We are home with no treatment done! After starving Josh (and me) all morning, getting to the hospital before the sun rise and sitting in isolation bored for 4 hours we are home. Joshs blood counts yesterday were 0.74, they need to be 0.75 to continue with treatment which they would have been this morning but we were told not to worry about getting a blood test this morning! A blood sample was taken through his port after fluids had been started and because it was too watered down from the fluids the blood count was unusable. So the labs came and did a finger prick to get a proper sample and his counts were only 0.55. Not high enough to start by far. So we have to go and try again on Monday morning. So another early one for us and a waste of a day today.
