A little history on the signs ordinaces:: Before July 6th 2013 the city council voted on all temporary signs put into the right of way and no political signs were permited . As of July 6th 2013 the rules were anyone could get a permit through the city to put up temporary signs under certain terms and conditions. 1. No more than 10 signs. 2. Signs could be no larger than 16 sq ft. 3. Sign permits were for 15 days. 4. No more than 3 permits per year. 5. No commercial signs. This was done to lower the Cities liability (1st ammendment) if council told someone no and someone else yes city could be sued. if everyone has same rules less liability. As of April 21 2014 No temorary signs will be allowed in the right of way.
