A lot of people think its impossible to make a living off of music. Its definitely not easy, but Im hoping that Ill be doing it full time as a bill-paying career by some time next year. I just recently moved back to Kokomo so thanks to Gary Rhum, Im back teaching drums and bass guitar at the Rhum Academy of Music and Id love to work with as many students as possible. If youre interested in lessons, please call 765-236-0567 and ask for a time slot with me, or you can message me on here and talk about it. As much as I love teaching, my main goal is to travel the world and perform and speak about my spiritual discoveries to as many people as possible. Ive spent the past few months learning over 40 songs on bass guitar with an awesome acoustic/alternative band called the Peaceful Kings, Kirk Morrow Brad Griggs Nick Lorenc. We have more social media coming, but for now you can follow us on instagram @thepeacefulkings. Were still in the process of getting going, but we just released our first music video and have professional, studio-quality recordings on the way very soon. Check it out right here. https://youtube/watch?v=1YOI9GJVheQ Were playing at the Kokomo Farmers Market this Saturday at 12. Along with these projects, I also have a show Saturday night playing drum set for my friend Conor Ross in Upland at the Bull Pen at 10 PM. Then Sunday and Monday I have practice playing bass guitar and a bit of drum set with an amazing R&B/Hip Hop group called the Purpose, lead by Tyrin Tracee Tyler. The band is filled with the most talented, veteran musicians Ive ever played with. Josh Rogers Benjamin Hicks and Kyle Brown can all kill it at styles from gospel to metal. We have a lot of shows and great songs coming soon. I spend a good amount of my week at IUK where Im learning about new media, music videos, graphic and website design and also learning to play the guitar. But finally, I have over 40 of my own original songs that Im working on with my own rock band that I sing and play the bass for. Kirk Morrow plays drums and one of my long-time best friends and basically a brother to me, Josh Norfleet shreds the blues like nobodys business. Im hoping to have all of these projects going strong by this coming summer, and hopefully Ill also have my hip hop mixtape finished and released as well as have some work done with a metal band, if Tyler Huntzinger and Calvin Park ever stop being lazy and send me those recordings. Gods been great to me this past year and I hope and think its about to get better and better. Ill make sure you to keep you all updated as things progress. Wish me luck and let me know what you think about that video lol. Once again, the number to the Rhum Academy is 765-236-0567. God bless.
