A lot of times I see people in Business Groups ask for business ideas, which they are generously given. However, I dont see a lot of emphasis placed on business courtesy. My cousin woke me up at an ungodly hour to help her run a few errands. So we passed by a photocopy joint to copy a single sheet, which is like 3 bob. The woman photocopied, my cousin gave her 200. Now I understand she might not be a morning person like me but as long as it s business you suck it up. She rudely asks- hauna pesa ndogo? Of course I have a few choice answers but my family accuses me of being a firebrand so I keep quiet and watch how my cousin handles miss sunshine. My cousin says no , the woman clicks loudly and declares- sasa hii ni kazi gani unanifanyisha asubuhi, nani ataenda kutafuta change? Ooh the conversation I have in my head ( si uambie kivuli yako iende since mnafanya kazi in shifts) but I bite my tongue and shush. Next thing I see, Hitlers ex has taken our document and torn it! I kid you not! I could just look at her mouth wide open. They started exchanging words with my cousin but I just dragged her out. Then she asks. me- vile unajifanyanga mkali mbona huja deal na huyo? I just told her even I have limits, some stupidity is beyond me. Besides I wanted her to learn a lesson, as long as you re paying dont ever beg someone to do something for you. Be courteous but never beg.
