A parent asks our group: I am wondering if this is normal boy behavior, or SPD rearing its ugly head (no pun intended)? My 7 y.o. son who is diagnosed only with SPD has a new obsession with his penis. The other day my hubby caught him with it hanging out of his pants talking to it saying, Its ok little buddy, I didnt mean to hurt you. The other day as he was getting in the tub he was pulling it as long as he could. And yesterday he comes home from school with a drawing he did of a dragon that he added a penis and a butt to. We have been trying to tell him its inappropriate (especially the drawing), but he keeps asking why? And that he can hurt his penis pulling like that, but he just isnt getting it. Any suggestions?
