A quick how-to workaround on adding a Google Drive hosted graphic - TopicsExpress

A quick how-to workaround on adding a Google Drive hosted graphic as an email signature to the end of Gmail messages. This is a workaround I came up with after the Google Drive late 2014 update no longer allows you to easily find the direct URL file path to an image or file hosted in Google Drive. Step 1 - Upload desired graphic to Google Drive and allow full public sharing permissions within the file Step 2 - Click on the graphic to open in Google Drive lightbox. Step 3 - Right-click/control click on the graphic to open a dropdown menu and choose inspect element to view the source code. Step 4 - The highlighted code that appears within the source inspector contains the URL, click on this code to view the source URL for your graphic. Copy this direct URL. Step 5 - Open Gmail and click on the top-right hand side cog icon to open settings. Scroll down to the signature section Step 6 - Click on the insert image icon in the signature text editor and paste the URL from above. Step 7 - Click OK to save and enjoy your shiny new graphic email signature. Enjoy! :-)
