A reminder: God doesnt just want us to feel better, or to act/behave better. He wants us to be better so that we will naturally do better! The best part is, that He does all the work! Many of us are missing out on the fullness of what God wants for us, or even the fullness of what He offers us. Ive been there. I went to church and if get the warm fuzzies but I cant truly say that my life was transformed back then. I even said prayers here and there, and would read my Bible from time to time. If get slight notions here and there to do the right thing but again, I wasnt truly transformed or felt like a new creation. My nature had not been changed from the inside out. I hadnt experienced many people telling me that the spiritual rabbit hole went much much deeper! I dont recall people sharing that you could experience God on a completely different way, in a much more intimate way! I didnt know what it was like for Hod to not just make you a little bit better, but that He could totally transform you from the inside out! That God could let you actually experience Him from the deepest part of your soul! I didnt truly understand what salvation was, or what being born again meant, or the significance of having the Holy Spirit actually dwelling inside of you! I thought that seeking God was done through my own efforts, and by acting and performing the right way. I had no idea that true salvation and all that comes with it is not accomplished through human effort, but actually begins with God! God has to give you the desire to seek after Him and to change your life. Then its just a matter of responding to what He has given you. If you realize that you havent experienced the fullness of God, you simply have to start with approaching Him with humility, and praying to Him. Tell Him you want the desire to repent, you want to fully experience Him, and asking Him will He do it! He knows if you truly want it, or if you are just going through the motions. You have to be persistent and keep asking Him until you know that you know you have received it!
