A report released Thursday reveals 3,000 Minnesota high school - TopicsExpress

A report released Thursday reveals 3,000 Minnesota high school athletes suffered concussions last year. Nearly half of them were football players, and 6 out of 100 girls and boys hockey players reported having a concussion. Concussions were once considered part of the game but Health Commissioner Ed Ehlinger says this report should be a signal to parents and coaches that concussions need to be taken just as seriously as broken bones or sprained ankles. We have a link to the study on WDIO, as well as a viewer poll. Have you ever sustained a concussion while playing high school or college sports?
