A saddening revelation.... I have put more faith in my GPS than I put in the God I serve... If I need to go somewhere that Ive never been before, I will get up, get dress, get in my car, type in the address, hit the Go button and follow the directions that appear on the screen. I dont doubt the instructions being given.... I dont question the route suggested... if it says turn left, I turn left...its just that simple. So in my walk with God, I need to go places that Ive never been before. I get up, get dressed, get in my car, type in the address (destination > heaven), press Go (pray), and yet when instructions are given, I question every direction uttered.... REALLY?!?!? To embrace the concept that Ive put more faith in a man made invention than I have in the creator who gave man the intelligence to make said invention is a sobering and humbling reality. Why is it so hard to have faith in my God when it is clear that the only time that His directions didnt work was when I chose not to listen to them. In effect, His directions ALWAYS work, its a decision I make as to whether or not Im going to listen. But, if I can heed the instructions given to me from a box or a phone, how much more should I be willing to take direction from my heavenly Father? When I put the decisions I make into perspective like this, I can now understand how Peter and Paul could be in the prescence of the son of God and admist all his parables, while viewing all his miracles, taking in all his lessons, still only be concerned with who was greater to Jesus. I see what caused Peter to begin sinking while walking on the water with the son of God himself and I so I am now aware that when I type in that address I no longer want to feel as though I am telling God to re-calculate because I think I know a better route than God... (the fastest route is not always the best route to take....) God, you are my GPS and when you say turn right, I will turn right... its just that simple... Have a blessed day and weekend FB family....
