A screening of this film is being publicized on an electronic billboard that belongs to the City of Charlestown. (I should clarify, I had to go to the churchs web site to see what film is showing. Apparently, it was a secret.) I understand that, in a town this size, churches often play an important role in the community, so, whether I agree or not, I expect a smattering of Jesus here and there -- nativity scenes in the park at Christmas, prayers before public meetings, etc. These things arent really hurting anyone. However, the trailer of this film does not suggest any kind of message about peace, love, forgiveness (the things that make Christianity good) but rather a message that Christians, who are apparently in charge of public billboard space, are somehow persecuted. I have not seen it, but my first impression is that this is not the kind of film that brings people together. Im not big on the obvious themes that higher education is evil, either. I have no problem with a church showing this movie, but I have a big problem with community resources that I pay for being used to promote it. https://youtube/watch?v=LHjznLeYlaE
