A second planned student walk-out at Ramsey High School this week was prevented today after administrators got word of the plan ahead of time. Three Birmingham police officers, including a school resource officer, were present at the school today, which was put on restrictive mode. Dr. Craig Witherspoon says his office had gotten word of another student walk out today, and sent a robocall to all Ramsay High parents indicating that if a student participated in the walk out, he or she would be suspended for the rest of the school year and any seniors would not be able to participate in graduation activities. Dr. Witherspoon says those consequences are in the schools code of conduct. One Ramsay student said school board members blocked lunchroom doors to prevent students from leaving the school. #1world1struggle
