A special home for poor sweet Selene - can you help? Selene came to us from a high kill shelter where she was listed as rescue only because of difficulties standing up and walking, which could indicate neurological issues or even the results of poisoning of sorts. (The shelter initially suspected a rabies infection; she was quarantined for a while and her records said that if the symptoms didnt improve the animal should be euthanized and the head send off for testing. YIKES!!!) We dont know exactly what happened to her: picked up as a stray, wobbly on her feet (but seems to be improving), front declawed, and a belly flab that suggests that she lost a lot of weight recently (being declawed and being a stray is a typical recipe for disaster). Selene is a very affectionate girl and just want to be held and loved on. She has no issues using the litter box, has a healthy appetite, and besides her wobbliness is otherwise healthy. She appears to be about 3 years old. Please consider adopting this sweetie!
