A volunteer writes: A handsome brindle boy is wagging his tail at me, hoping that hes next to go out for a walk. He is indeed next and out we go. Sherman goes immediately once we are out the door, so I now understand why he was so anxious to go out. After he takes care of business, he allows me to put a coat on him and off we go to the park. Sherman pulls on the leash so will benefit from some leash training, but is a tail waggy friendly boy who seems to like other dogs of all sizes. He doesnt mind being tethered for photos, makes soft eye contact, sits when I ask him to and takes reward treats gently. Affectionate and sweet he joined me on the park bench for some hugs before we headed back. Off leash in the back yard he loved chasing a tennis ball, retrieved some of the time, and other times was just happy with the chase. He again welcomed dogs of all sizes to the pen, tail wagging appropriately. Sherman is a solid citizen, old enough to be over the puppy stuff, and young enough to appreciate a good tennis ball chase! Hes hoping for a new home with lots of love in it, as hes ready to be your BFF. Hes such a nice dog, ask to meet him today. Another volunteer writes: Spending time with Sherman is like enjoying the afternoon with an old friend. Hes an easy companion, always happy to meet a new person or dog, never overly excited, but just comfortably and gently happy. Hes gorgeous to look at; he has that it undefinable quality that tells you that you are in the presence of a good soul, an intelligent, sweet and gentle dog who simply wants to spend the rest of his life by your side. Whether sitting for a treat, making a new friend, chasing a ball, or coming in for a hug, Sherman is calm and quiet. How amazing will it be to have him as your BFF. Come meet him today.
