A week ago I hadnt given much thought to the delicacy that comes with a new child. Our daughter brought us into a whole new world that is dependent upon the outstanding medical care of a NICU. We werent planning on being a NICU family, but here we are. While our Carter is still in NICU, we have been blessed with so many helping hands with her and our boys-blessed in ways that can never truly be measured. At the same time, we can also never truly articulate the emotional and mental weight this past week has brought on each of the five of us - ways in which we have all dealt with in different ways. I have so much admiration for my family, the caregivers, and the volunteers who help us feel a little bit better each day on this journey. This is a wonderful site full of information.
