AFRICAN UNION DAY FOUNDATION AFRICAN UNION DAY 2013 The African Union Day Celebration is the day that marks the commemoration of significant steps in enhancing Africa’s efforts in the processes of integration. The transition of the Organization of African Unity to the African Union has made Africa move a step further in enriching the activities of the regional economic communities including the Diaspora, addressing economic and developmental aspects through the New Partnership for Africa’s Development and embarking on the checks and balance perspectives in democracy and good governance through the African Peer Review Mechanisms. The African Union Day Foundation will again host the celebration of African Union Day where diplomats, New York City political and community leaders, elected officials, academicians, and faith based groups, youths and the business community are invited to come and interact with the said areas of developments in celebrating Africa. We are expecting over 200 people to be present and it is against this backdrop of information that we are kindly requesting your presence to share this joyous occasion with your fellow Pan Africans.
