AL-MUSTAPHA AND JONATHAN’S 2015 AMBITION. -NAF It is highly imperative for the Northern Anti- corruption Front (NAF) to draw the attention of the general public to the recent calumnies by Al-mustapha and his PDP sponsored group, as regards the involvement of NAF in the so called “Owerri Declaration of Peace” held in Owerri the capital city of Imo State, on 10th of September, 2013. We wish to set the record straight by telling Nigerians that the leader of NAF was invited only on a personal ground, to take part in a meeting that hopes to draw a path to peace and unity of the country. Not in any way to support the 2015 ambition of President Goodluck Jonathan, as portrayed by Al-mustapha and his group. It is now obvious from actions and events succeeding the peace meeting in Owerri, that Al- mustapha and his so called National Unity Alliance are paid poster boys for the monumentally corrupt GEJ’s Government to continue come 2015. The proof to this assertion may be found from the uncompromised loyalty and support for GEJ’s re- election by Asari Dokubo even after the declaration, the sudden deflection of Muhammad Abacha from APC to the GEJ’s faction of PDP just some few days after the declaration and off cause, the open declaration of support for GEJ come 2015 by Alh. Lema Jibril the guest- speaker of Al-mustapha’s failed “one million man march” organized by he and his group in Kaduna on the 28th of September, 2013. It is against this backdrop that the leadership of NAF wishes to categorically distant its self from the Al- mustapha’s movement in strong terms. It wishes to also draw the attention of NAF state co-coordinator, NAF members across the 19 Northern states including FCT and the general public to stay clear of activities of Al- mustapha’s group, because they do not mean well for the North and Nigeria at large. There is no way NAF would identify its self with groups that wish to work with corrupt governments like that of GEJ. Long live Nigeria.
