#ALAO-AKALA/LADOJA ALLIANCE Why is Elder Wole Oyelese and Senator Lekan Balogun "catching cold" over the ongoing alliance talks between Senator Ladoja and Otunba Alao-Akala? Elder Wole Oyelese has described the proposed alliance as “self-seeking” and a “purposeless marriage of convenience”. He further claimed the alliance does not have the blessing of other PDP leaders in Oyo state. He also labelled their approach as wrong for not carrying along other PDP leaders in the state. My position: does Alao-Akala and Ladoja needs the blessing of other PDP leaders in Oyo State to reconcile their personal and political differences in the interest of the state? What meaningful steps has the so called PDP leaders taken lately to reconcile the duo? Does the so called PDP leaders feel threatened by the coming together of Ladoja and Alao-Akala? Just wondering anyway. Since Alao-Akala has denied leaving the PDP despite the merger talk with his former boss, I expect the so called PDP leaders to signify interest in being part of the merger talks. Maybe their tension would be eased that way. Long live Oyo state!!!
