ALR mission not an official PGR mission Subject: ALR Mission-- Sun, 4/27/14, Welcome Home South Carolina American Legion Riders from the 2014 State Legacy Ride Hopefully we stayed dry and safe gathering valuable funds preserving the legacy of our post 9/11 fallen. Their children deserve an education they deserve a scholarship to help and guide their futures. Futures for children who have paid the ultimate sacrifice the loss of a mother, father, guardian tragically lost while defending the greatest nation on the planet. We are inviting our American Legion, Patriot Guard Rider, and extended rider families to stand with us as we welcome home Veterans, Sons of Veterans, Auxiliary and those that love them from a 400-600 mile journey around this great state of South Carolina. Date: 27 April 2014, Sunday Time: 1545 (3:45pm) Location: Veterans Memorial Park 700 Hampton St Columbia SC 29201 Details: Flag line only for the arriving riders, shake their hands, salute them, remember those we have lost our brothers, and sisters in arms. Flags will be provided. Refreshments and food will be available for donations back to the Legacy Fund. PARKING HAZARD PLEASE HEED: We highly recommend you use Wayne St. and Washington to come in; the entrance is at an upward slope and turn in. We have had riders go down in the past. Parking: Please take all parking directions from the Ride Coordinators/Ride Captains.
