ALS #IceBucketChallenge... Great initiative for a worthy cause, sure! Here’s an observation though... Many are showing support but some are questioning the motives & principles behind the practice! If people are so passionate about finding a cure for this disease, why can’t they simply DONATE towards research? What about all the unnecessary water wastage? The people around the world who don’t even have access to clean drinking water? We’re talking Africa, Asia, South America & even Detroit in the USA! Why does everyone taking on the challenge feel the need to outdo one & other, without even considering the repercussions? What about the associated health risks? Is this truly about raising awareness & funds or just a new trend? Perhaps another ridiculous way to gain 5 minutes of fame... How about we use a bit of common sense? How about we start a new campaign, raising awareness about another ‘disease’, the biggest epidemic of them all? Human violence! Rage that escalates into physical altercations, due to flared up egos... War crimes, sponsored by the elite psychopathic rulers of the world... Police brutality, triggered by power tripping & racism! What about the violation of human rights? How about we acknowledge that? Unite & make a change... 1 luv.
