ALS awareness month. I would like to request to my FB friends to please watch a documentary about a guitar prodigy by the name of Jason Becker. The title of the documentary is called Not Dead Yet. Jason was this jaw dropping guitar player at the age of 13 who was later invited at the age of 19 to replace Steve Vai as lead guitar player in David Lee Roths band. After accepting the invitation it was only a matter of months before this crippling disease took over Jasons body and he had to leave the band. Before I watched this documentary I was pretty much in the dark about how severe this disease can be. By watching this, it really made me appreciate my mobility. If pouring ice water over your head helps bring awareness to this heart breaking disease then pour away. This documentary will really help show people more of what its all about. It did me. He is a true hero. At 19 he was only given 3-5 yrs to live. He is now 45 and through computer technology, has learned to compose music through eye movement. It is very inspiring and at the same time very sad.
