AM SORRY FOR LATE UPDATE. REMAIN ALWAYS BLESSED IN CHRIST THE KING AND LORD OF LORDS. God Is Faithful Genesis 24:27 New International Version (NIV) “Praise be to the Lord, the God of my master Abraham, who has not abandoned his kindness and faithfulness to my master. As for me, the Lord has led me on the journey to the house of my master’s relatives.” For Meditation 1. Are you sinking under the oppressive weight of doubt? Have you any doubt that God will do what He says He will do in your life? Do you think God will abandon you to your enemies? Are you entertaining fears or reservations concerning His leading, keeping, guidance, protection, provision, and sustaining power? 2. Has God ever compromised any of His promises? ( 2 Cor. 1:20 ). Has His word ever failed? Has God ever changed His mind in any situation and under any circumstance? ( Nu. 23:19 ). Has He not done exactly what He said He will do? 3. Has God not showed Himself faithful in your life? Has He failed to be God in any situation and at anytime? Has He ever failed to act in accordance to His character? ( 2 Tim. 2:13 ) 4. Maybe you have not been with God for too long, if you are feeling this way about Him? Maybe you are the problem because you do not really know Him? Maybe you have not carefully observed His ways and His dealings with others, especially Israel , and yourself? Maybe you are walking too far away from Him and so your vision is blurred? Maybe you have been observing God and making the wrong conclusions according to the standards of this world and by your own faulted theology and expectations? 5. So, why don’t you get closer enough to really get to know Him? Why don’t you spend time to know His character and attributes? Why don’t you just trust Him and completely abandon yourself in Him and see how things will change for you? Why don’t you see and get to know God through the lives of other people as the servant of Abraham did through the life of his master? ( Gen. 24:27 ). If this chief servant was Eliezer of Damascus ( Gen. 15:2 ), why couldn’t he trust Abraham’s God (24:12-14), after all he had seen from the faith journey of his master with his God?(22:6-8; 13-14). Why couldn’t he praise the Lord for doing exactly what he expected God to do after praying to Him? Do you know God to be faithful as this servant did? I pray you will remove your eyes from people and the world and set them on God, drawing closer to Him and walking faithfully with Him in absolute confidence and trust, just as Abraham did ( Gen. 15:6 ) and influenced the faith of his servant. May you experience His great faithfulness in a new way ( Lam. 3:23; Ps. 108:4); and may you worship God and praise Him as Eliezer did when he saw the faithfulness of God in the way he met Rebekah ( Gen 24:27). Shalom Pastor Baafi
