AMY PAYNE HITS ON AN INQUIRY I WAS GOING TO MAKE OF AN ATTORNEY: Like I told everyone yesterday, I was going to watch the SOTU: Not because Im a glutton for punishment but rather to be informed. Im glad I did. It floored me at how he could stand there and state he was raising the minimum wage to $10.10 on all government contracts. As I watched, I sat there and thought, great. I pay newcomers with no experience a start pay of $10, as theyre going to learn there is a lot of hard work involved in the construction industry whether it be to building or doing demolition, to include flooring demolition. Installation is always easier, but hard work nonetheless. I thought to myself, what the heck gives this jerk who has never run a business the right to tell me or anyone else what they have to pay as minimum wage? No going through Congress, but just taking the action because he sees it as an opportunity to push more support of Democrats in office or trying to get newly elected. This is crap. How in the world is it going to affect my existing crews that earn well above the $10/hr? I had a good idea too. They felt as if that is going to be the new minimum wage, then they should receive a $10/hr increase in pay. It torques my hide that Obama is so quick to be giving taxpayer dollars away & now he thinks he can dictate what we pay our employees too? This is horse manure. He has no concept of overhead expenses because if he had the slightest clue, our government wouldnt have the national debt and deficit where its at now. Theyve grown under his reign of terror, and hes going to destroy businesses with his push for minimum wage increases and Obamacare combined. Hell single-handedly destroy what made our country great. I wondered if I or a group of us could file suit against him and his cockamamie practice of circumventing the law, Congress, & SCOTUS by infringing on my legal right to run a business by the laws that govern our state laws in conjunction with federal laws. In reading this article I got an answer to my question. Its bad enough that people are pushing jobs overseas because of his horrible policies against productive businesses, but this will be the last straw.
