ANNOUNCEMENT! I am excited to be moving forward with some test workshops based in Equine Assisted Therapy. If you have followed along with me, you will have noticed the trend in my philosophy of horse training. I have long focused my instruction to be heavy on purpose, intention, transparency, understanding, clarity and whether I am talking about advanced maneuvers or groundwork, my emphasis is always on the RELATIONSHIP between horse and rider. What you may not know, is that over the last few years, the connection between horsemanship and everyday life has begun to reveal itself. For many years I was simply the lucky recipient of the gifts horse training and competition had to offer me as a person. When I really began to grow and find happiness was when the parallels, metaphors and lessons learned with horses, started to overflow into my life as a whole. I was also lucky enough to form friendships with some like-minded Equine Assisted Therapists, and we are in the process of putting together some workshops. The most powerful thing about approaching personal growth through horses is that the lessons are experiential. It opens the eyes of both horsepeople and non-horsepeople alike. There will be connections that help you gain movement in life that you just wouldnt otherwise realize. I know that this was true for me. Even with my knowledge, education and experience, there are parallels that when I stopped to really examine them, were life changing. The workshops will address areas of such: Trust. Boundaries. Confidence. Communication. Fear. Connection. Relationships. Parenting. Family and social dynamics & more. We will be looking for participants in for a test workshop in the fall. 10 people will be selected, both horse people and non-horse people to participate for free.
