APCs threat to ground Nigeria: Human rights activists condemn the party *Say APC more concerned with grabbing power Human Rights activists in Port Harcourt and Abuja have condemned the APC for threatening to block the passage of the 2015, saying the opposition party is more concerned with political gain rather than the good of Nigerians. The activists also lamented the APC stance that military service chiefs should not be screened. A human rights activist, Ann Kio-Briggs said that the threat is selfish and anti-people. Another activists, Ken Atsetwe regretted that that the APC prefers to punish Nigerians and make life unbearable for them instead of working for good governance. Former Anambra State Governor, Chukwuemeka Ezeife who said the pronouncement of APC is unfortunate, wondered why some politicians are bent on making the nation ungovernable. He said that the unfortunate plot started when Jonathan won the election and some opposition politicians unleash terror on the people, killing several persons in the process. The activists advised the APC to retrace their step, pointing out that they cannot kill the people, they want to govern. They further urged the APC to resolve the massive political crisis in Ogun State, where Governor Amosun is locked in deadly conflict with serving national Assembly members and former Ogun State governor, Segun Salami. They wondered why APC declares its position on Rivers crisis, but plays the Ostrich on Ogun crisis where APC thugs have engaged in repeated gun-battle.
