ARE YOU RUNNING YOUR RACE? Most often we spend the better part of our lives running the race that is marked for others and not us, or operating in a calling unto which we are not called and annointed(or enabled) to function in. When that happens, we find ourselves miserable, complaining at every turn, having to force matters and struggle to make things happen and having no passion at all for what we do! We also lack the flow...it simply is NOT our race! Hebrews 12:1-2a Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us THROW OFF EVERYTHING that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race MARKED OUT FOR US, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith... See, there is a race for each one of us. The tragedy of our time is that when we become Christians we tend to believe that we are called to the Pulpit, and that is the reason of the chaos we see in the Church today. We have people called to run their race in the business ministry, Sports ministry, Media Ministry, Politics Ministry, Music Ministry all fighting to serve on the Pulpit. If it is NOT your calling you will fail dismally and make a mess of everything mtshana, even causing a stink and in the process making others to lose direction! You cant expect Mr Obama to dance like Beyonce. If he dared try, he would make a complete mess of it, or even need some medical attention threafter! Why? Simple because IT IS NOT HIS RACE! Said one Albert Einstein ; “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” Note what Christ says in the parable of talents ; Matthew 25:15 To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, TO EACH ACCORDING TO HIS ABILITY. ...and Apostle Paul ; Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus TO PERFORM GOOD WORKS, WHICH GOD PREPARED IN ADVANCE FOR US TO DO. Are you running your race mtshana? Or are you busy trying to be other people and making a complete mess and dool of yourself, there-by tripping others in their races? If you dnt have the talent for Soccer, dont go to the stadium and trying to play, rather appreciate and ENJOY watching those called to that area! Truth is EVERYBODY has a special ability or calling! You are best finding out what you are best at, at ease and enjoy doing, and have passion for and working hard to be the best at that and you will see how easy you function at it...that is your race!
