ARTISAN of the DAY ** Cat Arsenault – Potter “I found my passion almost 20 years ago when I first put my hands on a lump of wet clay and tried to center it on a pottery wheel. It was my hobby for many years and after moving to PEI, I began to sell at local craft fairs. Since retiring, I have been able to pursue the “business of my craft” I love seeing the look on someone’s face when they pick up a mug and “it fits”. There is a great satisfaction in seeing people love the colors and feel of a hand crafted vessel. I enjoy making beautiful, functional objects… but every now and then, I like to experiment with playful sculptural pieces” Cat Arsenault is an active member of the Prince Edward Island Potter’s Studio and the Prince Edward Island Crafts Council.
