AS LEWIS AWARD Undergraduate and secondary school students are invited to write an essay around a stated theme, topic or moot, and argue a case in 1500 words or less. The prize for the winning essay includes a PENZ certificate and a cheque for $250.00. This award will be presented to the author of the essay that demonstrates the highest level of critical inquiry. The essay entry will be due to the Membership Services Administrator – [email protected] by 5pm on Monday 20 October 2014. If a prize is awarded it will be presented to the student before he/she leaves school in 2014. Candidates are invited to explore the 2014 Scholarship ‘issues’ theme from the following 2014 Scholarship Physical Education examination specifications: TOPIC: Critically evaluate the issue of violence in sport and its possible impact on New Zealand society.
