ATTENTION Television Evangelists and Christians everywhere!! Do you know the name of the very first prosperity preacher? It may surprise you. His name comes up in the Bible frequently. His name is satan. That’s right, satan. He was the one that tempted our Lord Jesus Christ in this passage: Matthew 4:8-9 (KJV) 8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. That’s weird… So, it was the devil that promised to give the riches of the world, if we worship him and not God the Father. In fact Jesus taught THIS message: Matthew 6:19-21 (KJV) 19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Wow!! That’s like a complete OPPOSITE message than what prosperity preachers preach! So, we have to ask ourselves, what God are these prosperity preachers preaching. One thing I have noticed, preachers today say God a lot, but they don’t say the Name JESUS anymore. Just something to keep in mind…
