By the virtue of the colour of your skin you are an African...in fact you look more like a Nigerian to me, just like Babajide next door...Ifatunde...or even Adedeji down the street! It is amazing that you have so quickly forgotten your history, your lineage and those of other Black men living in America the it is sheer fortune that you guys were not shipped off to the Caribbean Islands like Haiti...Jamaica...and other smaller Islands. What you should know is that you are living in America today because your slave forefathers were obedient slaves and they were compensated with a permanent stay provided they keep their slave names and that in itself is a permanent link with your master. I therefore urge you to listen to Colomentality, a song by Fela Anikulapo Kuti, it will help your understanding. About the family value that had nose dived in your country...it is only if you turn back and find your way to where you have missed it as a country. May Yahweh Elohim help you guys.
