***AVAILABLE ON PUBLIC LIST*** A volunteer writes: Jordi, owned most of his life by the same family is with us as his loved ones moved into a shelter. He is a beautiful dog who has been outstandingly cared for. He lived in harmony with many kids, two female pitties and a few cats. Jordi comes with excellent recommendations. He would be very protective of his family, very loving, playful and would know a number of commands. We are told he is very obedient, house trained, walks nicely on the leash and has no handling issues. Jordi looks a bit sad in his kennel. One can understand... He lost the most meaningful thing in his life; his owners…He is a good boy, though and accepts my leash without fuss. He walks calmly by my side and eliminates in one stop. I noted that his den was spotless and orderly. Jordi can sit on command and takes treats very politely from my hand. He does shake paw (after a few prompts) and very much likes to be caressed, leaning gently against me. Jordi does not mind other dogs coming to say hello or met in the street. Jordi is a very good looking dog, a cross between a Golden Retriever and a Shepie. He aced his behavioral evaluation at the care center and is ready to meet…you, his future new owners he promises to serve and love like only a dog can do. Jordi is at the Manhattan Care Center.
