#Aabrooh #CFI protests against Hyderabad rape incident CD Network Udupi, Sep 20: Students belonging to Campus Front of India staged protest against the rape and assault on a 20-year-old student of a polytechnic institute who was confined and raped for 17 months by the owner of the college canteen in Hyderabad. Students gathered in front of the clock tower near service bus stand in Udupi on Thursday and raised slogan against the accused Satya Prakash Singh. Addressing the protesters, Iqbal Bellare, State President of CFI demanded stern action against the accused. Besides condemning the incident, he demanded that investigation into the matter be held at a swift pace and those guilty be nabbed and punishment at the earliest. An unbiased probe must be conducted and measures must be taken to see that no such incident occurs in the future, he demanded. State Treasured Farhan Honnala, District President Ashiq Moolur, Vice President Saheel, Joint Secretary Rajesh Manipal, Avez Udupi, Shafeeq and others were present. It may be recalled here that 20 year old Naziya (name changed) a resident of old city in Hyderabad and a student of 3rd year polytechnic TRR College at the outskirts of city was kidnapped by the canteen owner of the college, 33 year old Satya Prakash Singh a native of Bihar and raped her for almost 17 months before the brave girl managed to escape from the clutches of rapist.
