About that Vaccine-ASD poster: 1. Clearly Dr. Wakefield - TopicsExpress

About that Vaccine-ASD poster: 1. Clearly Dr. Wakefield didn’t fabricate everything. Real testimonies were recorded of real parents of real kids with real conditions. 2. That no link has been found between vaccines and ASD (or colitis) does not, of course, mean either that there is no link or that vaccines are safe. 3. Nobody (virtually?) opts out of vaccination because they believe that they DO NOT work. On the contrary, they seem to do so because they think vaccines are very potent. The same power that eradicates diseases like measles ALSO possibly has other POWEFUL side-effects. Hello? Anybody there? 4. People make decisions based on philosophy and/or religion? Really? Is this news? And I reject the implicit claim that all the rest of us make decision based on science. Silliness. 5. So…vaccines have been and in some cases still are toxic, containing ethylmercury, among other toxins. I’m no chemist, but I seem to remember that mercury is one of the most toxic substances to humans. So, it’s not a myth, and I’m fully justified in giving the vaccine manufacturers my WTF face. The question isn’t why don’t I trust them, but why you do. 6. This sentence, “Baby’s (sic) immune systems are strong enough to defend from the day to day viruses and bacteria with which they come in contact; they can also handle the vaccines.” Yeah, WTF face again. First of all, baby immune systems are in development (ie. not fully formed) and are not always strong enough to handle day to day viruses and bacteria. This is why babies get sick, and, hey dumb dumb, that’s why you want me to get them vaccinated in the first place. Also, by definition, vaccines are filled with substances that are NOT ho hum every day shit. And, again, I’m cautious about vaccines because I think that they are potent. You can’t have it both ways on this one, I’m afraid. 7. If you think science is a method that doesn’t care about your anxiety about injecting your babies with shit you don’t understand, you could share this. upworthy/it-took-studying-25782500-kids-to-begin-to-undo-the-damage-caused-by-1-doctor Ryan Plice Bryan Stafford
