Above Only Daily Devotional cgmglobal.org/aboveonly (Lire en français: cgmglobal.org/aboveonly/fr) Sunday, August 17 A DIFFERENT KIND OF WORKING Philippians 2:12-13 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. -------------------------------------------------------------------- The Law of Moses is based on what man had to do. The reason why it can be so difficult and frustrating is because it depends on mans ability. The Law of Christ is based on what God does in a man who has faith in Christ. Like Apostle Paul said, it is no longer us that live, Christ now lives in us, Gal.2:20. How could Apostle Paul say he worked more than every other Apostle but it was not him but by Gods grace, 1Cor.15:10? God is alive and at work in us, producing His Life in us and making us walk in His ways. Our own duty is to know what God is doing in us and co-operate with Him to do it. So it is not really us but God doing the work. The system of our lives have been upgraded to Christ mode. As He is, so are we in this world, 1John 4:17. The issue now is beyond overcoming sin. We can now do much more than that. The issue now is living in the fullness of Christ. You are free to enjoy the same divine life and relationship with God that Jesus has, being like Him in everything, Eph.4:15. Be not conformed to this world. Be conformed to Christ. The Law of Moses is for people who still operate from this worlds mould. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Put on Christ; your real nature. Live by the Law of the spirit and life in Christ Jesus. God is awakening the glorious life of Christ that He has placed in you. FAITH DECLARATION: Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Spirit and life in me. I will keep looking unto You because You are the author and finisher of my faith.
