Absolutely correct. Ive seen more bike-car accidents when the rider of the bike had a helmet on than when they didnt. Why? Simple. Rope in cars thinks oh he has a helmet on, lets get even closer to him, if I hit him, he will be fine. That helmet certainly will protect him. Fact is, they dont. Kids, yes as its more low speed. But most grown men who ride bikes like myself goes fast. Youre 10 times more likely to get a head injury in a car than you are on a bike, research has proved it. Another reason bycyclists gets a head injury is they start trusting the helmet. That is the biggest mistake a bycyclist can make.
