Adrian Peterson handled the situation, probably the best he could, after the press got ahold of the story. He didnt sit by and claim he never used a switch, or that he didnt cause the marks on his son. Instead he offered perspective on how he was raised, what his intentions were, and his views on the situation. Were his actions overboard? Perhaps, and most likely yes. However in a day where everyone tries to deny deny deny, he has stood up and offered an explanation. I respect him for that and now have a greater understanding of how some households deal with discipline. With the media attention better efforts and education can now be utilized to help reduce these methods of discipline. Also, I think this is overall a great wake up call to the entire nation that all childhoods arent all easy sailing. More perspective is what the world needs on all issues like this before over reaction pushes forward.
