Advice Issued For: Club Terrace, Combienbar, Manorina, Bellbird Creek, Cabbage Tree Creek Fire Origin: 10 K NNW CLUB TERRACE Incident Name: CLUB TERRACE - GOOLENGOOK RIVE Issued: 26/01/14 12:33 PM This Advice message is being issued by Department of Environment and Primary Industries for Club Terrace, Combienbar, Manorina, Bellbird Creek, Cabbage Tree Creek. There is a large bush fire to north and north west of Club Terrace. The fire is not yet under control however fire activity has decreased in the cooler conditions. Hot weather is expected again from Monday so be aware fire activity will increase and conditions will become more dangerous. Backburning is planned to commence from Monday, depending on weather conditions, so increased smoke may be visible from nearby communities and roads, including the Princes Highway. There is currently no threat to communities, but you should continue to stay informed and monitor conditions. Combienbar Road is open. Bonang Road is also open. Snowy River, Errinundra and Lind National Parks remain closed. The next update is expected by 27/01/14 2:00 PM or as the situation changes. Safety Information: Review your bushfire survival plan. If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. If you have time check your neighbours to see if they are monitoring conditions. If you are experiencing smoke exposure, seek medical advice or call Nurse on Call on 1300 606 024. Anyone using Combienbar Road or Bonang Road should remain alert and aware of fire vehicle traffic. Call the Victorian Bushfire Information Line (VBIL) on freecall 1800 240 667.
