Firefighters have responded to fires in the Steiglitz, She Oaks, Meredith, Anakie areas. There is reported fire activity in the Steiglitz, She Oaks, Meredith, Anakie areas and the fires are currently under control. Firefighters are remaining on scene overnight, as smoke and fire maybe visible to surrounding communities. There is currently no threat to communities, but you should continue to stay informed and monitor conditions. Smoke may be visible from nearby communities and roads. The next update is expected by 17/01/14 9:00 AM or as the situation changes. Safety Information: Review your bushfire survival plan. If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. If you have time check your neighbours to see if they are monitoring conditions.
