After a loss of a friend or loved one many will say he/she is in a better place now. Or Ill see you when I get there Its very common because everyone thinks we go to heaven after we die. I wish! Ive made this post a while back explaining that you can have a great personality here on earth and still not make it to heaven because you do not know God or have a relationship with His Spirit. Not everyone who calls out to me, Lord! Lord! will enter the kingdom of heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in Heaven will enter. (Matthew 7:21) What do you think happens when you die and you dont have God in your life? You go to thug mansion? Sorry but that is a lie. Jesus said: I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me (John 14:6) But I will reply, I never knew you. Get away from me you who break Gods laws (Matthew 7:23) Not everyone is a child of God. Dear children, dont let anyone deceive you about this: When people do what is right, it shows that they are righteous, even as Christ is righteous. But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil. Those who have been born into Gods family do not make a practice of sinning, because Gods life is in them. So they cant keep on sinning because they are children of God. So now we can tell who are children of God and who are children of the devil. Anyone who does not live righteously and does not love other believers does not belong to God (1 John 3:7-10) He came into the very world he created, but the world didnt recognize him. He came to his own people, and even they rejected him. But all who believed in him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God (John 1:10-13) [All who welcome Jesus Christ as Lord of their lives are reborn spiritually receiving new life from God. Through faith in Christ, this new birth changes us from the inside out rearranging our attitudes, desires, and motives. Being born makes you physically alive and places of you in your parents family. Being born of God makes you spiritually alive and puts you in Gods family.] I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the kingdom of God. I assure you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and the spirit. Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life (John 3:3,5,6) People think that just because they believe in God that theyll make it to heaven. For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16) [But to believe is more than intellectual agreement that Jesus is God. It means to put our trust and confidence in him that He alone can save us. It is to put Christ in charge of our present plans and eternal destiny. Believing is both trusting His words as reliable, and relying on Him for the power to change. If you have never trusted Christ, let this promise of everlasting life be yours and believe.] And anyone who believes in Gods son has eternal life. Anyone who doesnt obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under Gods angry judgment (John 4:32) Erase their names from the book of life; dont let them be counted among the righteous (Psalm 69:28) [The Book of Life is Gods list of those who are in right relationship with Him and who remain faithful. This term in the New Testament refers to those who will receive eternal life. Those whose names are written in the Book of Life are all who are marked for salvation through their faith in Christ] And I saw a great white throne and the one sitting on it. The earth and sky fled from His presence, but they found no place to hide. I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before Gods throne. And the books were opened, including the book of life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books. The sea gave up its dead, and death and the grave gave up their dead. And all were judged according to their deeds. Then death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This lake of fire is the second death. And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:11-15) [At the judgment, the books will be opened the book of life contains the names of those who have put their trust in Christ to save them. These books also contain the recorded deeds of everyone, good or evil. Everyones life will be reviewed and evaluated. No one is saved by deeds but deeds are seen as clear evidence of a persons actual relationship with God. Jesus will look at how we have handled gifts, opportunities, and responsibilities. Gods gracious gift of salvation does not free us from the requirement of faithful obedience and service. Each of us must serve Christ in the best way we know and live each day knowing the books will one day be opened] Its clear that not everyone goes to heaven when they die. A lot of family members and friends may not have made it. Jesus said: Just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions (Matthew 7:20) Nothing evil will be allowed to enter, nor anyone who practices shameful idolatry and dishonesty but only those whose names are written in the Lambs Book of Life (Revelation 21:27) Lets continue to pray for the lost and spread the Truth!
