After commenting numerous times that I was stressing out over Christmas much more than usual this year and saying a prayer for peace, I find myself at the tail end of a double-header surgery and my second night at the hospital. And you know what? There are presents not yet wrapped. There is a turkey not being cooked. And tomorrow morning I will still be here instead of watching my boys open their gifts. And thats ok. It is still the day we celebrate the birth of our Savior, and God is good -- all the time. Even when we arent having the perfect Norman Rockwell Christmas. Im going to chalk it up to an answered prayer and plan not to make it so hard for the Lord to get my attention next year!
