Alas, a thing! Brian Gallaher told me to list 10 books that have stuck with me over time. Now this is a challenge I can get behind. In no particular order: 1. The Sunset Limited - Cormac Macarthy (I know, I know, its a play. Get over it.) 2. The Brothers Karamozov/Crime and Punishment - Dostoyevsky (How do you pick?) 3. Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No-Good, Very Bad Day. (Because seriously, who cant relate to that?) 4. The Gospel According to John - by...the apostle John (The ending gets me every single time) 5. Frankenstein - Mary Shelley (Its still the most terrifying book ever written - and not because of the creature) 6. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close - Jonathan Safran Foer (Every feel ever was taken from its home and stuffed in between this books covers) 7. The Indispensable Calvin and Hobbes - Bill Watterson (Nothing captures my childhood quite like pancakes or Calvin and Hobbes could) 8. A Brief History of Time - Stephen Hawking (One of the first times I truly felt lost in my own body) 9. Antichrist/Thus Spoke Zarathustra - Frederich Nietzsche (Every Ahab needs his whale) 10. Through Painted Deserts - Donald Miller (The love of the road) Your turn, Tammy Barber and Melissa McCawley White!
