Alhamdolillah. Tonight was beautiful. There was no pomp, no grandstanding. None of us were exactly sure what we were doing, we only knew that we all wanted to do it. There was genuine laughter, and tears; moments of solemnity; and a reverence that descended on us as the simultaneous Arabic and Hebrew prayers, spoken aloud, wove together gently before ascending together toward heaven. There was food. Too much food. And children playing. Hugs and handshakes and smiles that came from the heart. Im so blessed to be part of a community that values the glorious variations with which we seek The One. Sleep well friends. Peace be upon you.
