Alright, so as you guys know I took my Bella Grace to the vet on Thursday. They said she was to young (shes 2) yo have a Thyroid condition. She told us it was stress related due to the new dog my oldest son brought home on Fathers Day. We kinda thought it could be stress from the beginning, but when the groomer came a few weeks back (we have someone who comes to our house) she mentioned that Bellas hair loss which is ONLY on her trunk area (both sides and her back from her shoulder blades to her tail area) Her neck, legs and tail are all still furry. She mentioned Thyroid. We have clumps of hair on the carpet daily. Any way..... we were told there was no skin issues, so she said stress...ok thats better, we can deal with that. We asked for 3 estimates for Spaying of the 2 girls along with teeth cleaning and nutering of the new puppy. The girls were $1100 for one $998 for the other and the puppy $400. We think that is CRAZY. I really liked the vet we were seeing up till this appt. She is new to the practice (6 months) the vet we were seeing left. I DONT think she cares for little dogs. We had never seen her for our babies only the new puppy. I would like to switch practices, they dont seem to be on the top of their game. Last 3 appointments we have had to wait 30 minutes past our appointment time, theres always an emergency, and I understand an emergency, Im all about them helping out an emergency but seriously every time were there.... What would your thoughts be on this situation? I want the BEST for my Pom girls and Sheplabaranian (Lab/Shepherd mix but thinks hes a and too since he has been raised with my babies) boy. I also understand everyone doesnt like little dogs. HELP. Also, sorry for the novel ♡♡
