Am going to go out on a limb yet again with this post. Occurs to me that the American people have become complacent. And due to said complacency the powers that be have not only taken over control. But they have abused their powers given to them through We The People. I propose the legislators impose a new bill. One that can not be rejected. In this bill there needs to be accountability to every person who works in public office or service. Accountable not to an internal investigation Nor even a Government investigation. Rather to an investigation of and by the very people they serve. These public office holders and public servants are emplaced to provide fair and just services. They have become untouchable in being scrutinized or punished for misconduct. Where as We The People are watched very closely under a microscope. Guess what people. It is they who are to be serving us. And not us them. From the President of the United States all the way down to the local dog catcher. These people are supposed to be watching out for us. All are paid a generous wage and afforded a posh retirement fund. We have continuously allowed them to vote themselves pay raises as we struggle to merely survive. It is time for a change. Public servants have become public tyrants. I am not saying the whole bunch are bad. I am simply suggesting something be done towards a change. The Fast and The Furious scandal was investigated by the very ones who were involved. The Benghazi Scandal was investigated from within as well. Scandals by police departments are more times than not, investigated by internal affairs. What I am saying is that these groups are answering to themselves. And there can be no justice nor accountability under such investigations. It is much like the wolves being trusted to overlook the sheep. Am I wrong ? I think not. Money controls power. It is a fact. But it doesnt have to be that way. You and I work hard and earn what we work for. Can we say the same for those in the Government ? Quit laughing yet ? We all know the answer is a big fat NO ! Look friends I am not an educated person. But I know right from wrong. Justice from injustice. Hell, I will even go further out on that limb and say I have a little common sense. In my 52 years of life I have witnessed a little common sense going a whole lot further than a whole lot of education. While I am anything but a successful person. I am none the less a person. No more or no less than are you. Seems to me we have as a nation entrusted our well being in those with education rather than to those with common sense. Also to those with money rather than to those who work every day to simply survive. Am I wrong ? In the event that I am right. My question is this. Why ? Has it proven to be in We the Peoples best interest to do so ? I dare say NOT. Therefore do we just continue, business as usual. Or do we demand a change in policies? Let me remind you that our founding fathers created the government to serve the people and not itself. We have rights. We have a voice. We have a backbone. And unless we utilize these things that we have. Soon we will have a Tyranny. A Socialist regime dictating our lives. Our jobs, where we live. Even if we live. Kinda scary to think about isnt it ? We are in an election year. We still have a choice of who we put into office. Are we going to rest on our laurels and allow another imposing imposter into the seat of the president ? Or are we going to educate ourselves on who we are really voting for? Up to this point I have maintained a calm and peaceable post. Let us not forget the lower in office of the candidates. Senators and House Representatives play a crucial part in being our voice in Washington. Bottom line in my mind though is this. Regardless of who holds what office. We need to INSIST that they be accountable to US ! Unless or until we make this LAW. Money and power will continue to deteriorate our country. Lets be heard people. Rather than herded. Lets begin the process of making ALL in Public Service accountable to we the public. And not some inside investigation that we are not fully informed in or about. It Is OUR Country. Lets freaking run it right !
