Amendment I Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. We were instructed today by upper management that we were no longer allowed to speak at all during the first hour of our day, or face discipline. No talking, at all. If I decide to exercise my first amendment rights and actually speak, can I retaliate against possible termination? Colby, what do you think? Can an employer silence employees without consequence?
