Amendments to the Maritime Labor Convention (MLC) adopted by the International Labour Organization (ILO) on February 7, 2006 were developed by a Joint Working Group formed by ILO and International Maritime Organization to review MLC 2006. The proposals were adopted by over 300 representatives of the tripartite maritime groups — seafarers, shipowners, and governments — and would be sent for approval to the ILO International Labour Conference in May, 2014.
