An All India Chakma Convention is being held in Silchar on 26th and 27th July 2014 to discuss 1. various problems and challenges being faced by the Chakma community in respective states, 2. Indian Chakmas roles and responsibility to resolve the problems faced by the Chakmas of BOCK, 3. Others relevant issues. Delegates from Arunachal, Tripura, Assam and Mizoram have arrived. Interestingly many Villages council leaders and intellectuals from Mizoram have come to participate. The convention is being organised by Chakma NGOs amd facilitated by BVCSA. Source: Chakma Voice
