An ‘educational’ program that I watched yesterday had prophet - TopicsExpress

An ‘educational’ program that I watched yesterday had prophet Mohammed born in the sixth century BC… no wonder the kids are confused! And, no one checks facts anymore as though opinion and accuracy are related. As, for example, an opinion from a professional diver in the bahamas making the comparison between species behavior and the ‘binding of women’s feet practices in Japan’. This debilitating practice was only practices as part of aristocratic culture of Chinese feminine beauty. So the gestalt of history is imperfect and temperately flawed. Does it matter? does attributing a barbarian practice to the wrong oriental culture matter as long as it is recognized for what it was and clearly understood to be defective behavior? I think not. The purpose of the gestalt is to effectively record the dead ends in the history of culture. What the behavioral paths were and hopefully where they proved to be ineffectual and why new directions were pursued.
