An individual is not subject to the guidance of his employer. His contract is one of service, yes, but that service has limits. As with government, an employer is subject to reasonable dissension. To discharge an individual for dissension is to abridge his right to freedom of expression. And any person fired for stating his dissent is wronged by his employer whether that employer is public or private.
